Now, I admit that in allot of my photos I give a lot of space around the subject. I have to admit that this is usually a bad Idea. Most people want to see the subject totally filling the frame. I find if I leave the picture un-cropped I can change it to the liking if the individual later, thus increasing the "value" of the picture to that person.
